The Challenge
Welz needed to launch a new kind of service quickly, enabling patients to book home visits online, operations teams to dispatch medical professionals across multiple cities, and clinicians in the field to document every visit. All while keeping everyone connected through a single, up-to-date system.
A New Way to Book Care
Patients needed to choose a service, share symptoms, pick a time, and pay or submit insurance in a few simple steps.
Dispatch Across Cities
The operations team had to assign the right Welzer to every visit across several service areas, in real time.
Care in the Field
Welzers needed to navigate to patients, check in, record vitals, and document the services they provided.
One Source of Truth
Patients, operations, and clinicians all had to work from the same up-to-date visit information.
The Solution
We built the platform from the ground up, starting with an appointment booking application and an operations CRM. As Welz expanded, we evolved the platform to support increasingly complex workflows and introduced dedicated mobile apps for patients and Welzers, the medical professionals who provide in-home care.
A unified backend powers the entire operation, connecting appointment booking, dispatch, visit tracking, and Welzer payouts in one integrated system.
Key Capabilities
- Online appointment booking with service area validation
- Billing through insurance or card payments
- Operations dashboard for visit management and clinician dispatch
- Uber-like Welzer mobile app for check-ins, live tracking, and SMS notifications

The Outcome
Welz launched as a complete, connected service: patients booked care online, the operations team dispatched Welzers across four cities, and every visit was tracked from booking to payout.
The project shows Trexler’s ability to take a new healthcare business from idea to operation, building every product it needed on one platform. Welz was later sold to another company.
